Is anyone else suspicious that Carl didn't shoot Lori?

It's like the SNL cold open, though: It's about more than just that particular episode.  The sketch gets wider attention for its topicality, especially from people who wouldn't pay attention to sketch comedy otherwise.  Every time SNL does a political sketch, MSNBC replays bits of it all day Monday.

Haha.  That's exactly what I was thinking with regard to Andrea.  Are we really going to act like hanging a zombie up is the worst thing going on right now?

I'm willing to concede on the potential point, but only because of your excellent copious callbacks to Gale Boetticher (seriously, how much better would this show be with him as the scientist? Or anyone who can act?).

I know what you're saying and the wanting different things is probably the sticking point.  I haven't read the comics, so I have no expectations for the show to meet on that front.

Yeah, I feel like some of the dialogue is definitely less clunky, less "here's what is going on," which is a welcome reprieve from the "Andrea you are suddenly a civil liberties lawyer for the purpose of this freshman-level death penalty discussion."

I going to say it: I miss Frank Darabont.  He focused the show on little character-based moments.  I can't stop thinking about how affecting the first few episodes were when Rick decided to kill that torso zombie, or when the father just couldn't shoot his undead wife.

This was everything that TV needs more of: silly without being nonsensical, grounded without being cynical, romantic without being melodramatic and 22 minutes wherein nobody cheated on someone else, thought of cheating on someone else or attacked someone for cheating on them with someone else.
