I'm not sure that there had to be any more drama or building or "earning" of Lane's death.  He's portrayed as a trifling person and his dying probably won't affect the world and characters all that much — other than maybe losing some business to the Creep Factor.

Once more, for old time's sake.

Oh, did they? I must have missed that.

Just a note to the reviewer, as I'm guessing you didn't have the "Next Week On …" previews in the screener.  It looks like they're pegging Jaime, not Richmond, as the killer.  It just goes to the Richmond office/paraphernalia because he's running the campaign.

I love that even after years at top advertising firms, Kinsey apparently has no idea how TV works (how is the skin color of characters going to be a mystery after having watched them for 30 minutes?).

In the DVD bonus scenes, Duck shits on Linden's chair.

It's weird to see outlets talking about Bledel being a distracting cameo in an episode that featured a 900-pound Mr. Belding.

To me, this season's most interesting theme is the relationship between ambition and satisfaction for Megan, Pete, Don and Peggy, especially with regard to changing cultural standards (aka goalposts).

I loved that clip in the end montage of Megan, following her dream by lying motionless on the ground, literally doing nothing.

Does anyone actually smoke cigarettes with all the windows up?

Uh oh.  Did anyone tell Noel Murray that Jasper asked if anyone told Holder he was white?

We are not the same. I am a Martian.

Ugh.  This one didn't work for me.  The LSD thing got way too self-indulgent.  At one point, I thought it was going to run through the entire episode and I was ready to "tune out," to use the parlance of the times.

For some reason I can't justify, I get the impression she is simply OK laying back when she's not the focus.  It would've been weird if she, for instance, read the straight "Hallway" lines all wacky.

Yeah, they could've even gotten some mileage out of W. enjoying his retirement by growing a goatee, which was a lifelong ambition that got sidetracked by career restrictions.
