Every time you have the urge to read something by Chris Conley, or one of the many incarnations of Sluggo, stream a David Lynch movie instead.  (We now know you have better things to do with your time.)  Can't wait to get your take on Blue Velvet (or as I call it, Norman Rockwell's Story of O).

Skimmed it too.  PLEASE let this show be cancelled before season 5, or at least let Fuller totally rewrite things from that point.

It was more of a foofaraw than a kerfuffle, verging on full-on argybargy.

Yup.  As long as we also acknowledge that he was a pretentious writer whose talent sometimes got the best of him too.  Like Sorkin, he's the kind of writer where the extremely good and extremely bad comes from the same source.  The crap is worth it when you get something like Ned Beatty's speech in Network.

NO ONE thinks they're Bill Pullman!

1.  Mind =  Blown.

Really?  You thought everything else he did was the product of a normal, well-adjusted mind?  This is where you're gonna say 'what the fuck is wrong with you?'

MARGARET!

Dude, you want to toss in a little reverb there to mask the "zzzzzzzt" sound from the sampling rate.  I do this kind of thing all the time.

Boxer-briefs OWN.  They are one of the great triumphs of modern technology, along with .mp3 files, Post-Its, and pizza stones.

The Rite is still unbelievably badass; if you want to continue with Stravinsky, check out the Symphony in Three Movements (aka The Rite of Spring, more classical version) and the Symphony of Psalms.

12 to the Moon, including the short Junior Rodeo Daredevils ("Fortunately, little Timmy didn't need his spine.")

Moi aussi.  His music has this quality of always sounding improvised instead of composed; he was actually a radical composer who told a lot of traditional harmonies and structures to go fuck themselves.  Check out the Sonata for Flute, Viola, and Harp.

My prayers are with you.  PLEASE tell me you have a basement.  And make sure there's booze, it'll get you through the inevitable post-storm collapse of civilization.  (Man, I hate when that happens.)

Wearing my George Crumb T-shirt from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra store.  It has one of his scores on the back ("Spiral Galaxy," and it's arranged in a spiral) and a quote from him on the front:  "Music might be defined as a system of proportions in the service of a spiritual impulse."  (Hmm, my second George Crumb
