"So I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window. Open it, and stick your head out, and yell, 'Great, kid…don't get cocky!'"

Flaherty is an underrated improv genius, and where it shows is not just in the mockaholism but in the shambling, nearly-running-off-the-rails trains of thought of many of his characters, Count Floyd being but one.  There was a one-off he did, I can't remember the character's name, but he was an "esteemed historian"

Boy, I'd love to chew her Charleston.
