That thought's crossed my mind, but I doubt Vince Gilligan would go to such great lengths to cover up the death of a relatively minor character. It just seems sort of pointless.
There was never really a "ricin cigarette". Jesse just needed somewhere to hide the vial of ricin and he chose to put it in a cigarette. The vial is currently hidden behind a plug socket in Walt's house.
