awful…just awful
I don't usually do this, but….my god. The first 4 paragraphs of this article were so utterly awful and painful that I just stopped reading. The comments are always the best part of the AV club, and remain so here - but usually the main article is….not so fucking reprehensible. Ugh.

every time i read about pete doherty
i find myself saying, "Man, FUCK pete doherty."

It's Ethan.
The odds of there being another Ethan are very, very slim.

I always loved R&B. A point was made at the beginning of the time-skips to include them. The reunion of the two is the only remaining quasi-significance of the whole tail-section bit. An explanation of where they are and what has become of them is definitely, 1000% forthcoming. So the haters can suck it.

If you get yrself Working Man's Dead, American Beauty, then round it off with the greatest hits packages Skeletons in the Closet and What a Long Strange Trip It's Been, you've got yourself a really fucking solid collection of songs.

The Hurley bird and the Dharma shark must eventually be explained, or I'ma be pisst.

When they take the time to name an episode THIS PLACE IS DEATH, I think that definitely means something.

I also totally laughed out loud (or "lol'd", as the kids are wont to say) after the "as long as it takes"/3 years later bit.

IAgree:

"Passionate, difficult love, or companionable, sweet love? Sawyer has quite the choice on his hands."

For no reason other than a distinct tingling in my gut did I immediately think that the baby was Ethan.

I think someone's already said this at some point below, but for some reason my instantaneous guess as to the identity of the unnamed baby was Ethan. He seemed like he'd been on the island a long, long time….

"There's either a double standard at work here or people are just leaping to outrageous conclusions, Chrissy. Most of us have had three or more sexual partners."

"My sex is like a sex boner"??
I just snorted water all over this muv, bro!!

You are a man who was ATTRACTED to Bowie's Labyrinth crotch pants????

I listened to Fox Confessor probably 100 times before I decided to learn anything about her at all. I'm not even sure how I acquired it (legally, of course!), but had heard about the great reviews it got in 06. When I finally got around to listening to it in early 07, I was just blown away. I almost didn't want to

Fox Confessor / Kid A / Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.

I just want to heartily second what Chico said above.
I listened to this streaming on NPR, and while it's delightful and beautiful, it isn't in the same league as Fox Confessor, which was so haunting and oblique and mysterious and … just fucking sad, man.

DUDE.
