Lisa Edelstein!
Season 2 of AD is the gold standard. It feels like they filmed all 22 episodes at once, and knew exactly how to cut it together. The editing alone makes Memento or Inception look like child's play.
I can't really make the argument that Party Down is better than Community, but Party Down is really something special. It had such a small budget, and small ambitions, that it really feels like a cult gem. If there's a bad episode, I don't remember it.
No, I agree with your initial reaction. I was really confused by Steve's point because I 100% took her response to be sacrificing a relationship for political ambition.
Totally agree.
Hitler: Fuck your sympathy! I don't need your sympathy, man, I need my fucking Johnson!
I think it helps watching one or two that are indisputably hilarious, which is definitely not every episode of any season (although 3 and 4 are about as perfect as it gets). Christ Nail is a good example. There's some horribly uncomfortable stuff, but the payoff is so funny that you have that cathartic moment where it…
What don't you understand. Everything is:
To clarify my OP. I don't need a movie to be a documentary. My problem with The Social Network was that Sorkin created an entirely fictional character named Mark Zuckerberg that had a completely different personality than the real one. Every motivation (being rejected by girls and excluded from clubs) and conversation…
You want me to be explicit?
Why can't the movie specifically be Hubbard and Scientology's story? I think it would make it far better.
Ok, I'd still like more input and consensus on this issue, but it brings up a related question then.

Can I suggest a feature for classic that tells readers how they can follow along? For example, letting us know that it's available on DVD, Netflix Streaming, Hulu Free, Hulu Plus, Amazon Plus, etc. I realize that the readers can figure this out for themselves, but it provides an incentive. I know I'm going to be…
Ren & Stimpy would be wild. A very groundbreaking show actually, although it's hard to say how and what it's influenced. Just truly unique.
I'm hijacking this thread to ask a very dumb question that's bothering me, but no one else has commented on.
I'm not meaning to insult anyone, but the suggestions in this thread are a lot weaker than previous times. A real testament to how many shows TV Club Classic is covering. We're running out of pop culture.
But that color looks great on Leslie.

Ok, this is a weaker post by Georgy, but I'm really a fan of his posts. He doesn't overdo them, just one per article, and there's something about the way he mixes up verb tenses and garden-pathesque sentences that I really like. I also always start reading them as normal posts, and it takes a few sentences before I…
