Twilight factors in absolutely Less Than Zero in this equation (ha! reference). I just wanted something to break up the tedium of this movie. Vampires would've done nicely. Or Sasquatch, even.

You know things are wrong when…
throughout the whole movie, I was just waiting for the vampires. "Just be patient, there's gotta be vampires somewhere in this mess." They never showed. I guess The Informers is just like life, in that way.
