It's probably a bit of memory association between this sketch and the State classic "Watching the Monkeys Do It." Both have broad, ridiculous Italian stereotypes for characters, and both are fucking hilarious. On the Italian stereotype note, "Pallies" is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Just sayin'.
