The real situation, by their own account, was that every idiot in that band wanted their contribution to be as loud as possible in the mix. Jason being the new guy meant he had no say, so his bass is virtually gone from Justice. Producer Flemmingsen had no authority at all. After that they realized they needed outside

You seem butthurt, I wish I could alleviate your rectal sufferings somehow. And yes, it's of the upmost importance for me to believe that anonymous people I'll never know personally who have no idea who I am think I have INTEGRITY. It's not like it's my honest opinion or anything.

I'd say death by Big Macs in your 50's, 60's, 70's or who knows is better than death by drugs in your 20's.

I wish Isis were more willing to experiment like The Melvins. Turner said they did not wish to collaborate with other artists beyond remixes, but when they did anyway after being invited to do a Fishtank it resulted in a wonderful EP completely different from the rest of their output.

Walking out on the Melvins because of a protracted intro = you're an idiot.

You win again!

Other than the obvious example of his friend Kurt Cobain, there's former bassists Lorax and Kevin Rutmains (the latter's problems forced them to cancel an entire European tour).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard he suffered from horrible chronic abdominal pains, of which the only truly effective relief was heroin. Frankly that sounds like one of the better reasons to kill yourself.

Sorry in Pig Minor is such a great title they have to be great.

Patton had so many plans for new Fantomas albums, where are they? He planned to do an all electronic album with Lombardo on electric drums, an improv album with Bozzio, and one or two more that I can't remember right now.

And for managing to keep the music excellent and diverse through all these decades, which is an achievement few can match.

I wouldn't classify an output including albums like Pigs of the Roman Empire, the Biafra records and Freak Puke as settling into anything.

Not true at all. He loves The Black Heart Procession to name one band, and invited them to play All Tomorrows Parties when they and Mike Patton curated.

What a flawless and not at all dickish argument.

It's important to remember how much Buzz, like me, has a huge boner for that raw rock sound, and hates the kind of neutered sheen modern production that has inflicted upon most popular rock music made in the last 30 years or so. I could never listen to, say, Nirvana's Nevermind for this reason alone.

And Bullhead. And Eggnog. And, lest you think these guys are has-beens, the recent The Bulls and the Bees which was amazing and perfect.

I'm thinking of how the show, particularly the mythology, eventually ended up. Oh, and that shitty second movie.

Revelations by, I don't know, the Coen brothers?

$$$?

What now? In what world does that look more like Emmerich's Godzilla than the original?
