If the Doctor somehow gets out of this regeneration, only to actually regenerate in the very next episode, it's going to be uncomfortably close to that time David Tennant regenerated twice in the course of a few episodes.

Yeah, that Bob Hoskins movie was a long time ago. I think if a Metroid movie is approached as a real sci-fi movie, stays faithful to the games and can manage good effects, they'll have a hit. I just imagine watching trailers in the theater and hearing that creepy original Metroid theme kick in.

Yeah, Maru was pretty fascinating, and the actor played it wonderfully in a subtle way. She's clearly evil, yet there are hints of a human being there. And I thought that about the mask, too; she probably can't drink without making a mess.

And the movie certainly showed men who were threatened by Diana or didn't even want to listen to her, making Steve stand out as someone who's more open-minded.

I feel like they should have at least de-aged him during the Ares scenes. I figured his disguise as an aging minister was just that.

Agreed - I think Cavill is actually a great Superman, but he hasn't been given the best material.

The effect of the Ice Warriors' guns was absolutely horrifying and awesome. Don't think I've seen anything like that.
