I love that DWM didn't ask. lol

God, I want another full McGann episode so much. I suspect Moffat knows fans wants this but a.) doesn't want to detract from the current Doctor and b.) doesn't think most viewers will recognize McGann and care.

For me, it would have been disappointing to have McGann back but in a role that was completely opposite to his perfect take on the Doctor. I think Moffat did the right thing by introducing John Hurt once Eccleston declined.

That's a good point. I have my favorites, but I liked EVERY single Doctor and find that I watch the show more for them than the stories sometimes.

It's like TRAGIC to me. lol I think he'd be perceived by most as one of the best Doctors if he had starred in a full run of episodes.

I had no problem with Colin Baker in the televised episodes. He was larger than life - his personality! - and I loved him. But yeah, he truly lived up to his full potential in the audios.

The "Omnirumor" that most of the missing episodes had been found was so compelling and I honestly started to believe it, mainly because an entire 2nd Doctor story and most of another were found at that time. But since then there's been nothing, so it seems it all probably was a big exaggeration or lies. The missing

I've said this before, but I feel like Torchwood was an adult show written from the perspective of a 13-year-old-boy's concept of being adult. Even when Torchwood displayed potential, there were so many cringe-worthy and embarrassing moments. Most of the characters were extremely selfish and immature, and Captain

I love both shows, but I think Star Trek tends to have a wider variety of storytelling and a little more creativity. Doctor Who most often is a variation of the "monster of the week." Even when an episode is about something else, there is almost always an alien threat trying to take over the planet.

In my wildest fantasies, McGann is hired to come back after Capaldi departs. The show has already established that the Doctor can revisit old faces. :-)

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I love those. I just wish they were filmed. :)

So awesome to read a similar experience to mine. McGann was also my gateway into full-time Who fandom. I had a fascination with Doctor Who as a child, mainly because a friend's family was really into it. I'd catch random episodes from the first seven Doctors on PBS, mostly while at their house. But it was still this

God-dammit, A.V. Club, just be immature and enjoy yourselves. You sound like my granny.

There can be only one… good Highlander movie.

So Fey actually begat Palin, in a way? Weird…

Aww, but then you wouldn't get those weird late-in-the-show skits.

He probably looks in the mirror and says the same thing.

I hope Tim wasn't working at the restaurant.

Kiliam was a dependable everyman. I think Pharoah's hilarious and never got his due on the show. It's too bad to lose both.

Best rock/alternative album of 1996… "Fizzy, Fuzzy, Big and Buzzy" by The Refreshments. Little-known masterpiece. Perfect road trip album.
