At my most cynical, I feel like many SJWs have just found a new thing to feel superior about and control.

Yeah, we're definitely overdue for a good King Arthur film.

I always took it that we're supposed to be rooting for the cat to outsmart him. Pepe was always a lech. They were still funny, entertaining cartoons.

I tend to think Speedy Gonzales is seen as mostly harmless by most people, with a small contingent of white panic folks thinking that he might be seen as horribly offensive.

Or Arthur decides the best way to save his people is to dive beneath the hooves of an oncoming horse.

Excalibur perfectly captures the feeling of myth, I think. Its atmosphere is excellent.

That's what I was thinking. This at least looks like it's not shy about latching on to the crazy parts of the story. The approach seems a tad to modern, but that's what I would expect.

That book really stuck with me. It doesn't have a lot of depth, but it captures the murky historical legend.

You don't think Excalibur came pretty close?

Although the effects look like they fall on the bad side of CGI spectacle, this does seem like it could be the best King Arthur movie since Excalibur.

Yeah! That's it! Thanks for finding that. Struck me immediately.

Oh wow, it looks like one of the concept drawings for (I think) the original Enterprise.

Busting the Ghost of Democracy

LOL, oh no, maybe furniture was the inspiration behind a lot of those styles!

I guess I'm still shellshocked by Voyager after all these years. Feeling better about Fuller after hearing about some of his other projects.

Oh no, I was really hoping Netflix would get Ghost Rider for his own series. Crappity crap.

I would certainly love to see that. The new movies are fun, but there's only so much you can do with a couple of hours every few years.

I'll try to find the old story about it, but I recall reading that we wanted merchandise and marketing for TOS to be discontinued.

I have to say, I always HATED the civilian clothes in Next Generation and DS9. Everything looked like hippie pajamas, so unfashionable.
