Lost World sucked for a lot of reasons. You can tell Spielberg's heart just wasn't in it, this was all about getting paid. Thankfully he came back next year and redeemed himself with "Saving Private Ryan."

I worked at a bookstore once before myself. One time, a customer was complaining that the only Anton LeVay book we carried was the "Satanic Bible." He said we should carry all of LeVay's books. I just nodded and backed away. True story.
I've read "The Truax" before. It's no better or worse than "The Lorax" is at getting its point across. Both stories take a side and present it with righteous indignation, allowing no room for compromise.
"The Happening" represents what fans of "The Lorax" always secretly hope for… that the Earth will wipe us all out for our sinful ways. And I don't mean putty Zoey Deschanel in movies.
Speaking as a conservative, I've never had a problem with the general theme of "The Lorax," that maybe we shouldn't engage in rampart deforestation just to fulfill our need for conspicuous consumption.
