A thought occurred to me on this point: They kind of had to stick with his familiar music to maximize the return pop last week, and it would feel weird to switch it up immediately after. BUT perhaps he could debut new music when he comes to the ring to take the IC title at Payback?

SPOTFEST!!!

When asked about the quality of this WOT, Triple H took a long, passive-aggressive pause before declaring it a "good technician."

The new format may mean my WoTs are on time in practice, but they'll always be late in spirit.

Ah, the description on Futon Critic made it sound like he was an addition. I guess I'll tweak the wording a bit.

The monkeys are all about the ethics, so yes.

True. I also think that East London accent is harder for Darvill to emote in than you might think.

That's how IMDB credited her. I'll go update it.

Yeah, I wasn't super high on this episode either, as my review hopefully indicates. I just tend to be pretty intentionally middle-of-the-road when it comes to grading shows I'm guest-reviewing.

Thank you for explaining this in literally the only terms I can understand.

I don't even know why you bother using Hawkgirl after Justice League (Unlimited) did it so definitively. I suppose doing a more Egyptian, non-Thanagarian Hawkgirl kinda justifies, but still, you're just asking for trouble.

I just review Arrow. I don't remember it. (Which is to say, yeah, that's silly of me to forget that. Too much happens on that show.)

I'd say Diggle has been better used this season than before (it's one of the few ways S4, which is generally good but not great, is better than S2). But yeah, he's often been undercooked as a character.

I feel like they intentionally made a meal of "regeneration" last episode, but yeah, they've GOT to step their game up. Especially since they took Rip Hunter's comics setup and basically shifted him into a knockoff Time Lord — HE EVEN WENT ON THE RUN FROM HIS OWN PEOPLE IN A STOLEN TIME MACHINE.

On the one hand, Merlyn is basically the Brock Lesnar of the Arrowverse, in that I'm *still* not sure Oliver has ever gotten a clean win over him. On the other hand, I'm completely fine with pushing Thea to the damn moon, so I'm not going to object with her looking as strong as possible.

In fairness, this was in Arrow's first season, and I think even then Who was smaller than it is now. But still, yeah, what the hell?

If you'll forgive me for shamelessly patting myself on the back, I don't think anything in my Arrow reviews will ever top the one time I described a Diggle/Malcolm/Lance subplot as "the adults' table."

Dammit, you're right, 50/50 booking is KILLING the Arrowverse.

Again, if this show were more Farscape-y, they could have fun with this and just lean into what utter failures they all are, and really play that out. As it is, everyone involved just looks dumb.
