Yep, she still had no memory of the Doctor, and any restoration of her memories would still fry her brain.

I could correct this, but honestly I'm just having a very pleasant time imagining Donna and Rory together.
I mean, I have a certain respect for how delightfully psychotic that two-parter is, but…no. That's not the reason.
On the one hand, I'd be shocked if they actually brought back the echoes. On the other hand, this episode did reference "The Day of the Doctor" a couple times, and this season brought back the Shadow Proclamation and Davros, so I'm prepared for some (relative) deep cuts.
"Alasdair was Allison Williams all along!"
That's not a description of a person though. It's a description of a fictional character, and specifically a comment on how the episode writes and presents her. Harshness doesn't really enter into it.
Can we go ahead and commission Big Finish to make Brian and Wilf: Adventures in Dufferdom?
If nothing else, Philip Martin and Colin Baker's DVD commentary makes it clear that the former had a much better vision for the story than was ever communicated to the production team, and more coherent direction of the 6th Doctor's motivations/state of mind in that story would have made the whole thing a lot better.
Which is fair enough, I suppose, but I guess I'm just a bit confused when (a) this happened two years ago, and the review written today makes it clear I don't think that was the right word, and (b) I have never actually used that word to describe Osgood. I even checked my old reviews to be sure!
While bringing Martha back in series 4 did work pretty great, the return of Rose was, um, distinctly less great. And I'd be prepared to argue Donna suffered a fate considerably worse than death. At least Clara got to face her fate on her own terms.
Yeah, but Jenna Coleman being in the episode doesn't technically mean Clara will be, especially when I guess they could use one of the Clara echoes if they so chose. Also, that could be a lie, which I kind of alluded to with the "misdirections within misdirections" bit.
Katarina, the companion immediately preceding Sara. Plus Peri, kind of. Oh, and Kamelion, I guess.
On the one hand, yes, that's accurate, and an oversight on my part. On the other hand, they inexplicably swapped two completely dissimilar actors to play Clara's dad between "The Rings of Akhaten" and "The Time of the Doctor," so I feel like I'm still being generous in even acknowledging the existence of Clara's…
"We evolved into swamp monsters just to be rid of him."
— Adric's ancestors, if I recall the plot of "Full Circle" correctly
For one hilarious moment, I sincerely thought, "Wait, no one can possibly like Adric that much."
1. Who the hell is Williams?
2. I said in the same sentence that it was probably inaccurate to call Clara that, when I did it two years ago.
In this case, it can most definitely be two things.
Pretty much, yeah.
Nah, the writing of his exit is still going to be risible, no matter what happens next.
God, if only…
