On vacation, traveling through Europe. First day on the continent, and I've got Amsterdam, Stockholm, Oslo, and Copenhagen after this, followed by a 10-day program in Germany and Poland.

You misinterpret me. "Blew itself up" in this context means "made a series of show-altering decisions"; there are at least three things that happened in that episode that really ought to redefine the status quo for the near and possibly long term. Not a value judgment on the quality of the episode itself.
