All fixed.

You know, I'd really like to haughtily dispute this, but I'm terrified that if I check the archives, this will be proven completely correct.

"And just to follow up, yes, I'm completely fine with that, just as long as he doesn't tell her he's the Flash. Then I'm going to get mad!"

You're telling me.

My rule is to leave discussion of big twists for the next episode, because there just isn't much for me to analyze yet.

I'm not worried about Loretta. I'm worried about everyone else.

I realize there are many Predators, but I like to think the original Predator is the Predator.

Well, they don't call John Carradine "the voice" for nothing!

I'd agree that if the last three episodes represented the baseline for the show, then I'd have no objection to it continuing. Not sure there'd be a lot to really say about the show on an ongoing basis, but those are all solid enough episodes of television.

He was a lawman in every episode up to this point, give or take maybe the end of the season 4 finale. But I don't think the Raylan of "Collateral" is a lawman, at least not until he rescues Bob. Reasonable people can disagree.

Alasdair Wilkins likes this!

Oh yeah, I can sort of see that.

I mean, I also have an issue if Dreyfuss and Stein are the main "historians" as opposed to just the most famous ones. I just don't necessarily have the biggest issue with bringing in Dreyfuss to talk about the Civil War, even if it's kind of moving this from "rigorous historical documentary" to I Love The 1860's.

It's the house style when a WOT writer is referring to himself or herself as the reviewer of a show. It's done on the assumption that not everybody checks the byline, so saying "My review of Justified" wouldn't be as helpful as "Alasdair Wilkins' review of Justified."

I don't object to Dreyfuss talking about the Civil War per se — I'm just razzing him when I call him Mr. Holland, whereas I have legitimate enmity for Ben Stein. It's just three kinds of ridiculous that the History Channel description calls them "Civil War historians." Not even "experts"! "Historians"!!

Yep, sorry! That'll be going live at noon eastern time.

Eh, it's your guys' loss. This one was pretty good!

You're totally right. To the point I wish I had made this point in the review itself. Ah well.

As (at least) a second-generation atheist, I'll admit I don't have any direct knowledge of those kinds of interactions, but yeah, that scene always strikes me as nicely lived-in. The fact that Lisa acts like an actual 8 year old there is also really sweet.

You know, I guess I'll out myself as a bit of a Scully-era apologist and say that I generally quite like those seasons, with 9 and 10 in particular having a bunch of strong entries. (I generally dislike the argument "A so-so episode of [X] is still a great episode of TV, because it tends to be a way to be a way to
