So, out of curiosity, what did you think of the flashback sequences? Because I thought the island stuff was terrific, and that's mostly what your comments seem to be speaking to. But the 2010 stuff was really silly, even by Arrow standards. I still kind of loved it — which I believe I communicated, but maybe not! —…
Ah, now I remember. Thanks!
Well, I struggle with what his standing over the bed staring at Ava back in the first or second episode was meant to mean if it didn't indicate Boyd was suspicious. But there's still a vast gulf between knowing the truth and accepting it, and I think Boyd is working hard to ignore what he probably knows in his heart…
I'm pretty sure Bob's first S4 appearance reveals his violent high school past and has him realize that Raylan didn't take him seriously, which led to him chewing Raylan out a bit. So there was some good depth there to supplement his undeniable status as comic relief. Here, he was more just straightforward comic…
Oh, there were tons of stuff to enjoy about it. It just didn't have the emotional depth that his S4 appearances had. I wouldn't really expect it to, given he's there for a much shorter period, but still felt worth pointing out.
You know, I honestly thought visage referred to a person's overall look, not just their face. I'll tweak that line.
Eh, the grading scale is kinda always nonsense. But Leslie and Ron and the past two weeks' episodes are stone cold classics by any metric I'd use.
I kinda like season one! But given it's so short and Michael Schur has said they approached it as basically an extended pilot, the better to figure out what worked and what didn't, it feel like it's sorta a season zero, or something.
Roy Harper IS Arsenal IN Stop! Or My Mom Will Parkour.
I'd certainly like to. Can't make any promises, but here's hoping.
Ah, so you're familiar with my Hell On Wheels reviews, then.
Just as long as everyone understands that everything I've ever written for this site was actually written by Homer Simpson talking to Patrick MacGoohan.
Mr. Show actually got the TV Club Classic treatment a few years back: http://www.avclub.com/tv/mr…
Whoa whoa whoa. You're not Timothy Dalton standing next to a photo of Timothy Dalton?
Sorry for the delay! It's up now.
In slight fairness, he's only seen Laurel as Canary from a distance and at weird angles while a lot of other things were going on. He got a pretty decent look at Roy, who was like 10 feet away from him and is pretty obviously the exact same height and build as that other guy who always wears red hoodies.
I think I'm mostly just imagining 90s-hair Malcolm Merlyn meeting 2005-era Captain Jack Harkness, and it's just kinda hilarious comparing the two young (or, in one case, "young") Barrowmans in my mind.
Wait, have he and April ever actually interacted? Because if the predictions of April becoming a nurse are true, my goodness, the possibilities…
I feel like they established that in passing last season, but I'm not going to pretend I keep a detailed enough Craig scrapbook to say for certain.
