I hadn't really considered how Hardy's city background would influence his assumptions in that particular situation, but yeah, that makes total sense.  Thanks for pointing that out, @avclub-fc60a136f913b37653c638474dfe569e:disqus !

Either that number isn't mentioned until a later episode, or I missed it in this one.  That's helpful to know; I felt like the town must be even smaller based on the everybody-knows-everybody vibe the show seemed to be establishing in that first scene with the long tracking shot of the Dad knowing *everyone* on his

Watched this last night and am totally hooked.  Two things I noticed:

@avclub-989ba038a1cc4344f5f7a66076478622:disqus , you're my favorite commenter on these threads.  Keep up the good work, chica .

I know!  What the fuck happened to that fisherman?!

Soooo…. there's nothing on tonight, then?

Seconding this question.  What's the deal?

I was at the second weekend last year too, and I didn't see/hear about any either.

I'd like Dr. Beardface to drop in sometime.  Or Hooch.  Man, Hooch is crazy.

Whatever happened to Archer and Pam screwing?  Has that been brought up at all this season?

Donna, I think your crazy.  For me, this was hands down an A episode; possibly the best one all season.

I guess we've all forgotten that Robin and Alex Trebek have met before?  A few seasons ago, she auditioned to be the new "coin-flip bimbo" on Million Dollar Heads or Tails.  He was impressed with her coin-flipping skills, and also excited that she was from Canada.  I feel like if he was such a big Robin Sparkles fan,

@avclub-fd618c6be7327c1e01499f3f758fc26c:disqus : I hear what you're saying about barely having the time to watch your shows as it is, but you should really give LCK a try.  I just tack it onto the end of my Top Chef viewing each week so I don't have to remember to check it out later.  The eps are usually only 10-12

In my opinion, the question should be: is there really a good way to look like Scott Bakula?  But to each his own, I guess.

In real life, it absolutely wouldn't make sense if Robin Sparkles wasn't all over the internet.  But I think it does make sense when you think about this show's version of Canada.  It's always been portrayed as a crazy backwards land, where every fad showed up 10 years late, summer only lasts for a week and a half,

    So, what were your answers?

I loved this episode and was pretty surprised at the grade. For me it was a solid A, and definitely my favorite of the season so far. Everything seemed to be clicking- just the right amount of goofy vs. sweet/sincere, great pacing, lots of laughs, etc. Something about the rest of the episodes this season has just felt

Her "Thank you!" was just perfect.

I'm curious as to how else you thought the Brian thing would play out? To me it seemed obvious that he was going to turn into a romantic option for Pam. Knowing that his appearance at the end of last week's episode wasn't going to be a one time, I just couldn't imagine where else they were going to take his character

The Sopranos Diaries was good enough to almost save the entire show?  Really?  The most it did for me was to help save SNL from getting a full-on F.  The pre-recorded stuff bumped it up to a D-, since most of those elicited a few chuckles.  I never full-on laughed once; actually, during most sketches I found myself
