Errr… as long as that was I still muddled it! I mean those things I was joking about in the Free Zone are actually good things I support. I could just do without the Mouth of God element and the theocratic bend. No thanks to that and no thanks to Flagg's moralistic but actually corrupt police state. A life of

I just really admire Felt Pelt's deconstruction of what I always accepted as a given— that Mother Abagail's followers were righteous. But fanatics usually think they're representatives of Good, don't they? Remember that part where Glenn (I think) make sure they adopt the Constitution for fear of all the people there

Oh god! I was going to suggest we take this time to discuss our favorite foods (actually I do like a good BLT and quesadillas) but I think I'm off eating for the week.

And yet I was completely fooled by it, much to my shame. For some reason I thought the photo inspired the… not the… other… way… oh.

Good lord!
And to think I missed all this by wasting my morning discussing Stephen King!

I'm not convinced King's advocating anything with this book. He just needs Good vs. Evil to carry on the "Lord of the Rings" borrowings. Although Felt Pelt is making me realize I was cheering for the wrong side all along.

And King himself said he pictured Bruce Springsteen playing that role in a movie version. I picture Will Farrell doing his Neil Diamond impression.

Oops! Yes, I'll try to remember that in the future, TL. When I saw how long this was after I posted it I literally cringed.

This is a book I've read and enjoyed several times…
Usually in the summer when I need something apocalyptic to stave off the doldrums! But the last time through it, a few things really began to bother me. The Incredible Vanishing Minorities for one, and the way so many of the women in the book are mere caricatures.

—An indefinitely postponed "Transformers" sequel.

Oh of course they have to call it that. No one wants to infringe on a registered trademark!

Yes it sounds all so innocent
And then you realize he actually meant chocolate CHIP and was referring to Methadone.
