Having just read the review and been mildly annoyed by it, I would imagine people are annoyed not by the, "I didn't like Ghostbusters," assertion, but by the condescending, "You don't like it either, you're just deluding yourselves." I haven't actually *seen* the backlash though, so maybe I'm wrong, and presumably

I don't really like the logic of giving awards based on who hasn't won yet. If Cranston gave a better performance than Jon Hamm this year, he should win, regardless of the history. (I'm not caught up on Mad Men so I'm not in a position to judge whether this is actually the case.)

I think the bigger problem is the suggestion that Midwesterners are, on average, more sane/reasonable/sober than the rest of the country.

Maybe they just wanted an excuse to quit, and didn't think they'd actually ever get rid of Harmon.

What is the proper usage of the big red NO?

Her departure was probably my favorite scene in the series, though.

The first time I heard the song I misheard the second-to-last line as "with all their arms and legs", so I thought the joke was that Gene deeply misunderstood how snakes worked.

The Killing jokes are basically just gimmick posts for people who lack the commitment for a real gimmick account.

@avclub-f8f8c273f326be25421cc62737d24a9e:disqus How much you wanna bet it's actually a Cookie_Monster alt account, designed to make us realize how much we appreciate the original?

I can't seem to remember anything about Rock-A-Doodle, except that I'm pretty sure I loved it.

I owned the first *5*. The drop off in quality after the first movie was pretty dramatic, but it doesn't end there…

So you'll be… Slapping Away?

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying here. The NYT article says he's accused of, "leaving the scene without showing the other driver his license and after providing her false insurance information." If true that *is* a hit and run as defined under California law. Are you saying the media should not report the

I'm not sure how "this happens in a lot of movies" makes it less dumb. It just makes it dumb *and* a cliche.

As a kid I was amused by the follow-up: "until you're a hundred and four /. and you can't fit out the bathroom door"

I don't think I get your point. If he didn't state he didn't watch, there'd be nothing to question.

Sounds like *someone* doesn't notice and recognize miracles.

Huh, Fuse still exists? I wonder if they're still making new episodes of Pants-Off Dance-Off.

Even the horrible American version understood this.
