Nope. They said it. Other commenters here are corroborating it. Thanks, guys/gals!

Haven't watched this episode yet. Quick question, though: was Chris Messina in every scene? Or in, say, 85% of the scenes?
Didn't catch this episode. How was Chris Messina's "presence"? Was it "cemented"?
THE 9 STAGES OF GRIEF
Yes, he has. He most certainly has. His name isn't even in the credits anymore.
If the male lead is no longer in the credits, he's no longer in the show. I'm long past believing anything Kaling says about Messina.
Not in the credits? Then he's no longer on the show. Full stop.
Is there a way to find out the ratings for last night? Since it's Hulu, I know those numbers might not be available. But is there a way to find out how Mindy ranked against other Hulu shows?
yes and it feels more than a little vindictive
It seems like the leading man left the show, or at least greatly reduced his screen time, and now they're spinning that this has been the plan all along. Feels dishonest.
