I'm worried that these recaps don't get as many comments as some of the other shows do. I hope that AVC won't cancel coverage next summer because they think no one's reading them. I don't think it's a case of not enough people reading them - it's just that John Teti is so thorough, and his interpretations of what's on

Glad I'm not the only one.

Aaand it looks like I'll be catching up on my ``Angel'' reruns tonight.

Are you kidding? I'm right there on the bridge with constant815!

Why not both?

Don't forget Southland and Bitch 23.

Who made the final decision at USA to reject Happy Endings? I want to chop off his manhood and feed it to the goats.

AC/DC's Highway to Hell

Yes, I think the death of his wife in childbirth and Tyrion's dwarfism (which I will agree was most likely apparent from birth) was more than enough for Tywin to consider killing his newborn son. Not only is Tyrion a very visible reminder that even the great Tywin Lannister isn't altogether perfect, but he also caused

It was mentioned in an earlier episode that Tywin's wife died giving birth to Tyrion. Even if Tyrion's dwarfism wasn't initially apparent, that alone would lead Tywin to be less than loving to his last offspring.

I think ``A Hole in the World'' and ``Shells'' are among `Angel's' best episodes, maybe even among the best episodes in the whole Whedonverse. The scenes with Alexis Denisof and Amy Acker are heartbreaking and brilliant all at  once.

I had no words for the rage and hate I felt whenever I heard this song… and then you published this interview. Thanks, AVClub!!

I think there are times when it's easy to hate just about every member of the cast temporarily.
While Lisa does come across as a passive-aggressive, insufferable harpy much of the time, I can kind of get where she's coming from. She wants Nate to love her so much, but he doesn't, and she knows it. She's punishing him

``We get a picture in our head of how things ought to be—a flawless version of our life that seems so simple yet proves hard to achieve in practice—and anything that differs from that ideal becomes intolerable. ''

Sort of… the two Lannister nephews were killed by Karstark and his men, very much against Robb's orders. That's why Karstark's head rolled. The Red Wedding was probably not revenge for the dead Lannister boys. Tywin may not have even known they were dead yet.
But yes.. these people can really be awful to each other.

oh Luther — how I'll miss you.

Xena  on TV Club Classic? Yes, Please.

Agreed!

Magic Mike? Eh, I just watched over the weekend and was not really impressed, given all the positive reviews. However, the eye candy was just yummy.
