Wait, Teti.. don't go!!

I really look forward to reading these reviews and everyone's posts each week, but I'm troubled that the number of comments is pretty low compared to many of the other shows covered. Please JT, tell us continuing to review this show is not contingent on a minimum number of ``reasonable discussions'' each week.

Yes to this. Margaret Chenoweth reminds me of my aunt, and that is not a compliment. She's a psycho bitch. She and Margaret would be BFFs I'm sure!

Halfman! Halfman!

Halfman! Halfman!

``The show’s grimmest quality might not be the constant death but rather its frequent observation that in life, people struggle mightily to effect even the slightest change in themselves. And then they die.''

Agreed. I too really hated Lisa the first time around… but now I find her to be much more sympathetic, despite her tendency to be a passive-aggressive nag. There's a deep well of loneliness within Lisa, and Nate was a master at bringing those negative feelings gushing to the surface. She wanted so much for Nate to

I know!! Teti's reviews of SFU are like crack — I'm addicted to incisive critiques such as these and I can't wait for Tuesdays when I can get my weekly fix. Please JT and AV Club — don't make us wait until 2015 to finish. Even if you have to take a month or two off in between seasons, can you please tackle SFU more

“We’ve got a lot to be thankful for,” Nate says. His father replies, “Either that, or we’ve lowered our expectations so much, we’ve given up on anything better than this!”
True enough, Nathaniel. True enough.

And now, PBS has axed Fred Willard from Market Warriors. The big jerks!

Yes. They really do have an excellent portrayal of that love-hate relationship we sometimes feel with our parents.

Maggie has an eminently slappable face. Brenda had her pegged correctly - she really was a sappy little ferret.

Absolutely. I know a few people like that, including one of my cousins. He knows how to schmooze, be a Good-Time Charlie and make you think he actually cares… but peel back that surface layer and there's nothing underneath.
I think Nate believes he cares about people…. but we all know he only cares about himself.
