I just figured that Korra had already mastered the forms; she just had to apply actual bending to them.  We know she is gifted at the physical side of bending, so her ability to be pretty proficient off the bat when everything connected didn't shock me.

In between.  I sometimes watched it with my kid when it aired, but then ran through the whole thing on Netflix later.

No, I'm easily placated.
Not really, but I miss the extra character moments in TLA.
No, I'm here for the commentary/comments.
The strong but far from perfect leads.
I liked the long story arc

That scene for all the world felt like an execution, especially the way she collapses at the end.  She's a total BAMF, even without the bending, but it is a death of sorts.  I respect her for not hesitating to take down those ships even though she knew she would be captured or killed.

I always read lawful evil as someone who abuses or stretches the law to gain or keep power over others.  Lawful evil characters only care about laws that empower them or repress others; they will break laws if they think they won't get caught.  He is acting very lawful evil in the through most of episode 8.  He starts

True.  On the Nick site it says that Tenzin is 51 to Pema's 35.  Still gross until they're both adults though.

My prediction is that he will if they try to invade his island or directly go after his family.  I wouldn't want to be the dumb equalist that tries it….
