Yeah - such stupidity and short-sightedness is genuinely painful to watch. He makes me want to be a better person just so I can hopefully counter some of the assholery he puts out there.

"CARIOCA FLETCH"! Oh yeah! I guess I read more Fletch books than I thought.  Looking at the Amazon page, I seem to recall reading "Fletch", "Fletch, Too", "Fletch and the Man Who", and "Carioca Fletch". So, it's entirely possible that "Carioca Fletch" was the interest-killer for me.

I stumbled across "Fletch" (the first book) by accident in the early 80s, and I could not put it down. It was truly one of the most exciting and funniest books I'd ever read. I read "Fletch And The Man Who" next and, while it was okay, it was such a comedown from the first that I never continued.
