A lifetime BLOCKAGE! Yup, eternal constipation, would be the opposite of a lifetime pass.

TV Guide had a cover story at the height of the show's popularity, something like "Why Does Laverne Get All The Best Parts?" Laverne learns to drive, Laverne thinks she's pregnant, Laverne's father wants her to get married - the writer pointed out that Penny Marshall was part of the Marshall family. It was pretty

"Laverne & Shirley" was genuinely funny at times, too. The characters in general were more interesting and vivid than on "Happy Days". Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams were already a team, having written together for themselves before, and Lenny & Squiggy had Michael McKean, who also wrote some of their material.

Hell ya. We used to watch the show at our grandparent's house (we didn't have a tv), and go home singing "Rock Around The Clock". Freaked my mother right the fuck out.

My sister told me once I sang like Potsie…I was wrecked for weeks.

Honest to god, every time I hear someone else say they were bugged by the hair on Happy Days (Laverne & Shirley was even worse in this regard), I feel my 12-year-old self become a little less alone.

I was working at The Gap at the time I read the book, when that store was trying to push a "madras revival"…weird. I don't recall that the fad really hit that big…

It can be good - depending on a few variables.
