I stopped reading his books after "Tommyknockers", and started again when I picked up "Desperation" in a bookstore, read the first chapter, and couldn't sleep that night without a rotting sadistic policeman pulling off my skin; no, not pulling, plucking off my skin.

Can you help me out with something? I read the book when it was new, and I'm pretty sure the "outer-space spider" was ITs true form, which was pretty darn disappointing (more disappointing than a haunted car, but less so than a radioactive flying saucer).

"The Tommyknockers" was adapted for TV quite awhile ago. I remember a redheaded woman being in the previews, and that's it.

THAT I remember. I didn't see the mini - I saw part of it about 10 years ago, and it looked ok, but I knew from "Fangoria" that it was still going to show a giant spider from space at some point, so I've never bothered.
