"Doctor Sleep, a sequel to The Shining, follows an adult Danny Torrance as he faces off against a group of psychic vampires."
… WHAT.

With Libby, I can accept the arc logic being something like: suddenly widowed>>>mental breakdown>>>mental institution>>>…but she gets better. I can picture it in the writer's room: this arc gets proposed when brainstorming for the character, somebody goes "and she's in the same mental hospital as Hurley!", the room

I still think about the Lost finale often, and my feelings remain unchanged - the Island material, right up to and especially including Jack + Vincent together again, is excellent and pretty much exactly what I wanted from the show's ending. The show gets massive credit from me for turning Jack from a character I

This is just okay. Bruno Barsoom's new album is better.

Thanks for this, these are all great picks, and I hadn't listened to most of them before now. And that CBB episode with Poehler was my second favorite of that show this year, it's the rare episode (like Fourvel) where literally every single minute is laugh out loud funny to me. I hope Scott brings Speed Round back.

Aww, I think Kulap is great. I can understand the Cinedouche perspective if you're not a fan of her constant cracking up, but I dig it because she's just so genuine. I really can't imagine a better foil for Howard either, who I think we can all agree is awesomely funny.

Anyone up for an individual episodes list? I'm limiting myself to one per show:
1. Comedy Bang Bang - Time Bobby
2. Pod F. Tompkast - Episode 24
3. Gelmania X
4. Who Charted? - I'm Lovin' It (#67, w/ Harris Wittels)
5. Nerdist - Tom Hanks

Everybody should go listen to the Weird Al Who Charted like, right now. Giddiness of that degree (from Kulap and ESPECIALLY Howard) is so infectious that it should probably be illegal

SWANS.
I know it's been mentioned many times already, and I'm happy to see it on this list at all, but holy Mother of the World, The Seer absolutely towers above everything else I've listened to all year. And this was a great year for music, too. Taken as a whole, it hits every emotional button I could possibly want a
