Glad to hear you're doing DS9, Trek's best franchise. That said, The Inner Light is an example of the beautiful visual poetry that on TNG seemed to be capable of (see "Data, you are the bird" from "Firstborn, Part I"), although "The Visitor" comes close.

I've been a Trek fan for over 30 years, and I can't believe that never occured to me till now :-)!
