“Let the Goat take me. There’s nowhere to take me from.” Good ole’ emo Bruce, being emo.

we should all be very ashamed that this happened and we did nothing to stop it

Remember the one where Jenna Elfman(?) got pregnant by the young guy and they moved in together but not as a couple and he had a scruffy, bearded slacker buddy who left his dishes laying around and all sorts of hijinks such as that?
No?
Really?

Bonus points for Jeremey Davies. Bonus points docked for lame "super hacker" plot elelment

Ever notice that his face in Johnny Handsome is about the same as his face after his botched surgery? Serious

Me too - lots of good stuff in it.

Having seen the leaked version, that coda felt horribly tacked on. No idea how it played for others who hadn't seen the first version.
But all in all, much much better than I expected from network tv.

Big Green Guy? Oh, Swampy. I though you meant the Hulk

I especially liked how the roof of the hotel/convention center hosting the Wayne charity function had a villain-friendly access valve suitable for attaching your Nefarious Device to. All big downtown buildings should have those

Ehhh - this show suffers from a terminal case of standarditis. It's your basic TV show, and that isn't good enough anymore. One good line - "What's altruism" - and the rest? Phhfffffft

and a man sitting in a trailer, amid a growing pile of bottles, muttering "I used to be on Breaking Bad."

*Whoooooosh* (sound of the Isabella Rossellini reference going over my head)

Funny - just read that last week. But I have serious doubts about any such adaptations for network tv. Even though it doesn't have much in the way of serious gore or sex, although there is a handjob

40 mule team Borax!

Wasn't it Comet or Ajax? Like it matters …

around here,w e call him Stabby, too. How did he end up being Twisty, in the review?

right. I confess the whole thing confused me - and I didn't even recognize him as Palmer. I've never seen him be funny before or maybe light comedy is more what i mean. Charming, a little goofy, 50 years ago Jim Hutton would play that part.
I do think if The Atom shows up it ought to be in Flash, though, as the two

in fact, for the first time since about 1971, I have no DC comics I read monthly. The last time was when Neal Adams went off Detective and Green lantern was cancelled

ah ha - thanks. I'm way behind in my retcons.

It's doing everything right that Gotham is doing wrong - not the tone; dark and grimly comic would be fine, but they cant even get that right
Flash has its own feel, pretty much pure Silver Age adjusted for 2014.
I think they just had an actual vision of what they wanted to make - Gotham is tossing wallturds
