Even though I find both of them (Rush and Brian) insufferable, at least Rush has the excuse of being a drug addict to explain some of what comes out of his mouth. I can't help but wonder if he would make more sense clean.

Rape scene aside, Hitch still wasn't a great movie.
Americans have a (probably deserved) reputation for being incredibly anal about lip movements exactly matching the voices of a dub. They can get away with it in animation because the labial sounds are the only real cues. [insert labial joke]
So it's unanimous that I should watch the American version because the Swedish one is terrible. Gotcha.
The Big Question
Assuming that I don't really mind subtitles, does this mean that I'm better off seeing the Swedish version, or is the American version equally good if you're not directly comparing it shot-by-shot to the original?

I put in 90210, and it turns out that 8 of the "selected cities" are in southern CA. None, however, are within 40 miles of any city I could drive to in a day.

I found myself wandering away from the television whenever Mr. Tiny Beard was talking. He and his girlfriend are really not engaging, which bodes poorly for me continuing to watch unless things pick up.
Go with whichever device is less proprietary. If you need to, say, purchase through Amazon or through B&N and they decide they want to discontinue support of the model you have in order to make you upgrade, I could see that being an issue.
When the battery dies on my paperback, we can have the discussion about changing media.
