I agree that they could have done more with the premise, but I did like the ending. What I found interesting is that they seem to be setting up Bobby as a sort of Shojo himself. A mean old drunk who appears to other drunks as a ghost? It's poetically appropriate.

To me, I think Lincoln represents a link to Olivia's old life. As her memories are gradually taken over of Peter, Lincoln remains to remind her of who she was before she was Peter's Olivia.
