Streaming feels hollow to me for some reason, so I almost always buy downloads because I can get more bang for my buck. With the constant sales on Amazon, and sites like eMusic there's no reason to pirate unless you're some poor kid with shit parents who just wants to escape from your awful life. I'll always forgive

Personally, it's only about 30% about the stories for me. They're great fun, but it's mostly the War stories that shine above the level of great campfire stories and urban legends. What's truly amazing about EC is the stable of artists that Gaines managed to put together under one roof, AND that he was forward

I adore Jack Davis. Thank you AV club. Thank you.

No, Harvey Kurtzman ≠ Walt Kelly.

Yeah, exactly. It's a good movie, but you could make a really, really great adaptation of the Conan mythos. The new movie is not that. What we really need is a Coen Bros. True Grit vs. John Wayne True Grit type situation.

As an actual child, I used to heavily wish that Levar Burton (as represented by Reading Rainbow) was my dad, because my actual male parent was kind of a dick. I don't know who who would be the other half of that package, but I'd add in Mr. Rogers as grandfather. Could there possibly be a better grandpa than Mr. Rogers?

That's pretty much exactly what I was thinking. It takes away the normal preciousness of child cartoon characters that you get when grown women do all the voices, and it strips away the cuteness of child actors with a more natural delivery. It comes of as precisely what peanuts was as a strip - children with the minds

You're right. It's a double-decker shit sandwich. Hooray!

To clarify - as a cartoonist, this is the bullshitiest bullshit ever. First the Smurfs (not my favorite, but still a solid example of the Marcinelle School of french cartooning), now this? Popeye deserves a real movie. It's a fucking seminal comic strip! Adapt the sea hag storyline, and you've got a great adventure

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooo………………….

They need to put the shows on different tracks to reflect the effort put in to get those grades. So, Breaking Bad would be AP, But 2 Broke Girls would be Remedial. There, I fixed it.

Anyone else notice that the music playing during Robin's silent comedy version of events began with a riff from Super Mario Bros. 2? What are they saying!? Is it a hint that the whole show is just a dream?

Yeah, I can't believe none of the judges called them out for that fiasco. At least Tadd sort of looked like he had the dance moves learned, but Marko seemed like he had no ideas what was going on. Maybe they should start having a week off between the penultimate episode and the finale'. Give the dancers a chance to
