Objectively, sure, Scarlett is talented enough to be a solo artist, but it seemed that within the context of the show, the characters behind the label were interested in their partnership. Bucky, Rayna, and Watty mentioned being impressed by their chemistry as a duo, specifically, several times throughout the season.

I actually looked up the establishment, mostly because I was wondering if it was ludicrous or logical for a bookshelf to be sitting in the middle of this venue, just waiting to fall over and very, very mildly scrape some pre teens. What does Juliette owe for those hospital bills anyway, like $30?

Dammit, now it's stuck in my head too.

I agree Carrie, and it seemed from the beginning that the interest in Scarlett and Gunnar stemmed from their chemistry, their positioning as the new Deacon Claybourne and Rayna Jaymes. it's weird that that just went to the wayside.

To me, the completely fictional enlargement of that teeny corner photo is a hallucination, as is turning a remote into a harpoon gun but obviously there was a lack of clarity if most commenters felt I missed it altogether.

Corrected - thank you! I have to admit it is intimidating to step in to review when Donna Bowman has such a long, intimate history analyzing HIMYM, but it's been fun to take on a show that I watch religiously and have never written about before.

Thank you for pointing out an important distinction - my background is not in politics and while I thought I had wrapped my mind around this particular issue, especially after Frontline's straightforward if partial explanation, but obviously there are some nuances that I haven't completely grasped. It is indeed

You're right, that is an inappropriate use of the word reform, and I have edited thanks to your comment. Call it even for your inappropriate use of the word 'he'? I'm a woman :)

If anyone feels like tweeting me after new episodes to discuss, I will continue to watch this show now that I've been irreparably sucked in. There just didn't' seem to be enough interest for continued AVC coverage! @brandnewfarihah:twitter

For all those who stuck with Underemployed this long because there was a glimmer of something better under the cheesy, slick surface, I got an interesting message from one of the writers of the show. Apparently the writers felt their once logical, even edgy scripts were hacked up every week by MTV execs I'm not at

I had to look the names up! I swear! Okay fine I remember at least half of them. I was at the exact right age for Reality Bites to become a Middle School slumber party staple.

Stiller's character did not literally edit the piece, but I think it's fair to take him as a representative of his network. He was aware of the changes and told Lelaina (Ryder's character) he was excited for her to see them. Only after seeing the disgusted, unbelieving look on her face does he realize his team may

I did a little google search and apparently the play Abraham Lincoln was watching on the night of his assassination is called Our American Cousin. So either the show's mention of Julius Caesar is historically inaccurate, taking creative license for the sake of the dramatic propriety of the Shakespeare play to the

I sincerely hope they don't write Maguire off the show, he is such an interesting foil for Corcoran. I think there is a place for him regardless of whether or not he is a cop anymore, but they dispensed so cavalierly with Molly (despite the fact that Tanya Fischer's image is all up in the BBC America promotional
