That truly was hilarious. One of my favourite parts of the entire episode.

I hope we see Eccelston again, I mean anything's possible given how long Tom Baker was away before returning to the fold, but even if he never ever does one more thing as the Doctor, we owe him a great debt.

"you never kill off the comic relief."

I believe she's been as many as four different characters on Doctor Who audios. Even Benedict Cumberbatch turns up in one. Of course, there's also his mother who has actually turned up on screen, too.

OK, now we need to take the last 's' from 'Simms' here and stick it on the end of "Eric Robert" in one of Mohd's posts elsewhere.

That's more of a long-term goal. I mean sure, if they were all found tomorrow in the basement of some billionaire's media collection, that'd be great but realistically, it's going to take a while and odds are, some are going to be lost forever.

I suppose it retroactively could explain how on Earth the Master survived being completely incinerated in Planet of Fire and yet turning up later as if nothing had happened.

Oh be nice, he's a fan like us.

Doctor Who: The Movie Q&A | BFI

You might want to edit an 's' onto the end of "Eric Robert" there.

To the credit of the American production team, they were fans and they wanted to keep it in continuity instead of a reboot. That might have actually hurt them with the opening and newcomers wondering who McCoy was an why did he turn into McGann and a more general what the hell is going on?

Here's hoping they surprise us (in a good way) in the future with his return. That and when Peter Capaldi eventually leaves far into the future in one blazing guitar solo just like the Doof Warrior in Mad Max: Fury Road (so yes, with an actual flaming guitar) before regenerating into Hayley Atwell and that's my

The Brigadier had it spot on when he said "Splendid chaps, all of you."

Apparently something went wrong with these pyrotechnics and the resulting explosion was much bigger than it was meant to be. McCoy didn't even flinch and kept on going like a boss.

Relive the whole experience of reliving the whole the original show here:

We're nothing if not patient, though. I waited from 1989 and the cancellation through to the movie in 1996 being a blip and then more waiting until 2005 (doing other things in the meantime, obviously).

On the flipside, had the show's history played out differently, he would never have gotten a go at all. At least we got as much as we did.

This movie was totally worth it because it gave us Paul McGann as the Doctor and he was brilliant. It also led to what they did for the 50th Anniversary which I saw totally blind (figuratively, obviously) and I was absolutely delighted when he appeared.

The Guardian has dived head first into the dumpster lately with their increasingly hysterical attacks on Jeremy Corbyn. On the upside, the commentariat have increasingly banded together to kick their ass over it in highly entertaining fashion.

It can be set many places.
