Osborne looks like The Childcatcher had a fat kid, sent him to Eton.

When Osborne said the government were determined to keep Wallace and Gromit exactly where they are, it was a joke referring to the fact that the opposition Labour Party leader, Ed Milliband, physically resembles an Aardman character and the shadow chancellor, Ed Balls, could be said to resemble some sort of dog

This film was shot a while ago - perhaps they were happy to have done it at first but started to feel ripped off as the months rolled by and they found all their grunt work to have had zero benefit in helping them gain paid employment.

The best bit is Ronnie Corbett telling his men they are all off to see the King.  His facial expression is worth… well, not the price of the ticket… not sitting through the whole thing for… ok, it's worth borrowing the DVD from a friend and then bothering to try and find the bit and then watching that bit.  Although

Did Portman's and Bateman's characters become a couple?  I seem to remember that happily did not happen.

Uh-oh, Billy Connolly warning.  I like the guy but his presence in a cast list is as reliable an indicator there is that the film will be shit.  Here's hoping Hoffman hired him under strict Last Samurai Exception Protocols.

Jackonsville City Nights is one of the ones that I've heard.  I do remember that as the better one.

But is it going to be track 1 or 2 and is the album going to be massively disappointing thereafter like on every Ryan Adams album I've ever heard?

I would rate the ones I've seen thusly:-
Greatest: Seven Samurai
Top tier: Hidden Fortress, Throne of Blood, Stray Dog
Next level down but still great: Rashomon, High and Low, Yojimbo
Overrated but worth a watch: Ikiru, Ran
Not very interesting: Drunken Angel
Worst I've seen: Sanjuro

I'm sure Andrew Kevin Walker was rather familiar with Stray Dog when he wrote Seven

Is he doing a Jon Stewart impression or does Jon Stewart just constantly mimic Tom Waits?
