The Republican party also spent 25 years telling people that, no matter what else, Hillary Clinton could never become President under any circumstances and that they'd figure out the details later. And hey, here we are.
Eh nobody would say after eight years that you have to stop going to the gym and if your therapist was good enough to make a positive impression in your life then they were probably self-aware enough to avoid encouraging dependency.
Earshot has one of the best designed one-off monsters, what with the (pre-Doctor Who) no mouth telepath.
Man, he was the best! I haven't watched Buffy since high school but isn't there a scene in Graduation Day (pt. 1 or 2) where the Mayor tries to choke Buffy in a hospital bed? There was some bit I remember where it was just like, "Oh right, evil guy" and his dead eyes are very scary.

Yea, that jumped out for me too, just 'cause Zak Smith (also Jewish) is a big Lord Mantis fan and does a lot of work with trans-activism (and has been falsely accused of transphobia/spreading hate in the past).
He looked kind of like Rory Bellows. https://frinkiac.com/img/S0…
I dunno, it just reminded me of Superman3 a little.
I like that Sauron was a nerd who became an evil flying dinosaur monster but still remembered he liked Tolkien enough to name himself after his most famous bad guy.
