I totally agree. I should clarify: I did not by any means think "Through the Looking Glass, etc." was a bad episode. I just thought it had some really interesting ideas (I don't doubt that this will turn out to be an extremely important episode) and could have been executed a little better. The fact that this was my

@avclub-97fdd4845ad73d52f7a94b86cf898fe7:disqus I don't think anything will ever be more disappointing than the way David Robert Jones died (the second time), but I agree with you. Unless, of course, he comes back again, though I'm skeptical.

@olivececile:disqus I think that Wyman confirmed that Mr. X (the mystery man we saw in "LSD") was William Bell. It was a pretty disappointing end to that storyline, but I don't think they dropped it. Overall, though, I'm also quite impressed with the way they've managed to tie together the various seasons so far. I

@inko8:disqus Hmm, Jane Eyre? I never thought about it like that. Just out of curiosity, what specifically made you think of Jane Eyre?

@avclub-0dce4f1bc73210714b1f4378c2ab3889:disqus Oooh, really? If so, then I'm super-excited. I've loved all three of the "crazy" episodes so far.

I think you're right. But @avclub-a84cf2d984ed2eb7948b9fda85275a7f:disqus 's comment did remind me that I think a Fringe bottle episode would be really, really awesome. Slightly off-topic, but I always think of the episode "The Suitcase" from Mad Men as a bottle episode, even though it technically isn't since it takes

Yeah, those were a couple of nice moments. When Walter was on the bus, I was sitting there wondering why no one noticed him basically talking to himself, but then the guy behind him started glaring at him and I laughed. I enjoyed "Dream Logic" because I think the idea of being addicted to dreaming is really interesting. But "Night of Desirable Objects" was definitely one of the lesser episodes. I give that one an edge to "Earthling" because it succeeded in being genuinely creepy, even if the plot was kind of ridiculous, whereas

I suppose. It wasn't a huge deal for me, but for some reason, I had a hard time being able to tell what was going on. It did make sense for what they were trying to do, though.

I thought the season 4 finale was near-brilliant. But I haven't been a fan of this season so far. Personally, I think the best moments were seeing Ben and April together in D.C., but I guess that subplot is over now.
