Even considered all of season 1, I thought that "Earthling" was the show's worst episode - by far. Though I agree that it was probably more an issue with the writing than the direction. I will say that I thought this episode was a tad problematic in terms of direction. Maybe it's just me and I'm easily confused, but

Yeah, that's what fan fiction is for. As much as I miss the Redverse and wish we'd see those characters again, I'd hate for them to be brought back in a way that's not organic to the story.

@martisco:disqus I own precisely one CD, and I'm pretty stingy about what I buy on iTunes. If I didn't buy the Lost soundtrack, I probably won't end up buying the one for Fringe. I will listen to it a bunch of times on YouTube, though.

@avclub-a84cf2d984ed2eb7948b9fda85275a7f:disqus I loved the emotional music for Lost, and I thought Giacchiano's score for that show was more or less a masterpiece. I will also say, though, that I cried the first two times I saw the opening scene of J.J. Abrams's Star Trek and I adore the last track of the Super 8

Wyman has claimed that there will be an explanation for the lack of women and the fact that all the Observers are bald. I was a tad skeptical, but he also mentioned that the "Inner Child" kid would be reappearing, and now that he has, I'm a little more inclined to have confidence in Wyman and co.

@avclub-c5c7dfe480dd211b50781620ea2fdaf0:disqus Assuming you're talking about "August", it was season 2. And I also remember thinking there was something weird about that when I watched the episode.

Don't forget the end of "An Origin Story". That was some pretty heartbreaking stuff.

I personally liked "The Recordist" more, but I seem to be in the minority on that one. Actually, this was the first episode of the season that I can't say I thought was good, though after the awesomeness that was "An Origin Story", I'm willing to give them a pass on this one. And it did introduce some potentially

My fingers are crossed for Sam Weiss. Because seriously, what the hell happened to him?

They have it on iTunes, though they don't release it for a few months after the season ends, and I'm not sure how thorough the tracks are.
