I'm honestly shocked that Neal McDonaugh didn't get a nomination (he was submitted as supporting). Personally, I thought Walton Goggins was even better, and he wasn't as breathtaking as Margo Martindale was, but he still did a fantastic job in an extremely showy role. It seems as though the Emmys would eat that shit

I think it's weird that Elizabeth Moss was submitted in the Lead Actress category. She had some nice standout moments (namely in "Far Away Places" and "The Other Woman"), but overall, she didn't have a whole lot to do this season. I mean, she barely appeared in the last couple of episodes. I actually think Jessica

I haven't gotten around to checking it out yet, but I'm really looking forward to watching Happy Endings. With 30 Rock ending after this year, The Office in a rut (to put it lightly) and Community probably on the verge of ending soon, it'll be nice to find a new quirky comedy to love. It sounds like something I should

Amen to this.

Amen to this.

I agree about 30 Rock, though I don't watch enough other shows to fill out the category, so I'm not too mad about its nomination; I would even venture to say that I preferred this season of 30 Rock to the most recent season of Community (if Community got a nomination, I would have thought of it as recognition for the

I can't believe Mad Men hasn't won a single acting Emmy yet, especially since the Emmys seem to adore the show. Looking at the nominees, I think Christina Hendricks might have a chance this year, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

@avclub-cfe912f5cb3aa572bd1c9ae2a9b82207:disqus I hate Ryan Murphy more than I ever knew I could hate someone I've never even met. How the hell could anyone justify American Horror Story being called a "miniseries"? I'm glad that Glee finally didn't score any major nominations, but the fact that AHS tied Mad Men for

I think they deserved a writing nomination for "Letters of Transit", which is one of the best hours of TV I've seen this season, but I can't get too mad about it because I knew the show would be completely shut out (again). The fact that John Noble still hasn't gotten nominated is a crime against humanity (or at least

Agreed. It had some pretty great individual episodes, though, so I think that a writing nomination is the best that we could hope for.

I think Community deserved more nominations (Danny Pudi deserved it over all four of the Modern Family actors), but I'm glad that it at least got nominated for a major category and that the nomination is one the show completely deserves. At this point, I'm willing to just accept that.

Brokeback Mountain is legitimately heartbreaking while not feeling contrived or manipulative at all, whereas The Notebook is the epitome of a sappy, generic tearjerker.

Watch it. As @avclub-1e98b8abf1ee5fc9a1e44168b7e3e53e:disqus said, the acting is absolutely fantastic (how neither Heath Ledger nor Jake Gyllenhaal won an Oscar for their performances is beyond me). Ang Lee also does a nice job of giving the movie a quiet, intimate feeling, so it never feels like he's trying to convey
