He is definitely too hot for Rochester, he's like Mr. Darcy hot. That said, I've seen much plainer Janes and I thought he and Mia Wasikowska did a decent job.

Wasn't that what Bucky Larson was about?

Hmm, I should definitely watch the original too then. It sounds like compare + contrast would be interesting. I really enjoyed how open to interpretation her character is.

I like the "A Pornography Film" addition. Classes up the picture.

I haven't seen the original, but really enjoyed the remake. I liked how the ending (spoilers?) leaves you wondering if Abby ruthlessly orchestrated everything, or whether it's supposed to be a more balanced friendship between her and Owen.

I went to see In Bruges without seeing any trailers etc, that was a pleasant surprise.

I'm still cringing over replacing the excellent You're My Thrill with Hallelujah.

You treat your stepmother with respect, Hercules! Or you'll be sleeping on the streets!

@avclub-df80f70f60b1c678f8c91696f4a54f5f:disqus It was the lack of nuance surrounding the frog prince's kingdom that seemed, to me anyway, to go beyond having a point of view influence the story (which I agree can be a good thing) and veer into propaganda-y storytelling.

@drdarke:disqus I had hoped it would be a character specific trait and not something that so strongly permeated the rest of the story, and for a while it was tolerable. But after the frog prince's shiny happy kingdom stand in enough was enough.

I read a quote from the author saying he was rabidly pro-Israel and it was like "Wow. Really. I'm shocked."

That's a bummer. The premise sounded good but I never caught an ep. Spotting TO landmarks is fun. It's the only reason I watched Blood Ties.

@avclub-db28507034068ea227ef2f0ae9e633d0:disqus Hands down At the Hundredth Meridian. Everyone will love screaming the chorus at sports games. Honestly, the Jays' crowds desperately needs some cheering.

@avclub-f73c2c536908327c3e7ab819ea778560:disqus Oh christ. I think the crying really made that scene.

@avclub-db28507034068ea227ef2f0ae9e633d0:disqus We should definitely pick a Hip song to replace our national anthem.

Reboot was pretty fantastic.

@avclub-e57dbebc740250d2c4a370cf6ccb35f0:disqus That sounds amazing.

I was so pleased someone else enthusiastically liked this video too and it's the Babysitters Club gimmick poster. Many sighs.

"Aboot" is not an Ontario thing. Have you ever been to Ontario, Citric?

At least 8 of us. Although I was hoping they'd ditch the alcoholism for this version. Alas.
