I think the first couple episodes are worth a watch. It does have a little Alias charm, and I'm sure the lead actress will settle in. The surrounding cast is pretty fun.
Re: your point about no buildup. I read an article with the actor who played Joe, he wasn't told his character was the killer until later on in the process. I hate this. Trust your actors to act. Otherwise you end up with a show that is really well done feeling rushed/out-of-nowhere at the end.
Yes! Geez I'm glad one other person is out there pushing The Fades. It makes me seem moderately less crazy for bringing it up so often.
