Matin has said in the past that he thought Kurtwood Smith (i.e. Red from That 70s Show, among other things) would be a great Tywin. I think he'd work just fine as Stannis too.

@Rowan agree on Dune hating. I read it and felt like I was reading an abridged version of a much much longer book.

@Dude People can complain, but some of the stuff out there was pretty ridiculous. GRRM is a big NFL fan and would usually write posts on his blog each week about the Giants and Jets. He would also travel to a few cons per year. Yet anytime he did anything other than write something there was a vocal group of 'fans'…

This week's Weekend Update was pretty good
But in general, I think they go to the visitor well waaaaay too often. I think Meyers only commented on two news stories before throwing it to the mini-sketches. They happened to be pretty good this week but usually they fall way flat.

I'm extremely disappointed
That no one in the episode made a "Where's Waldo" joke on Chang.

Love the new titles (especially Tom's and Ron's) but I don't like Ben's. It would be better if he was just plowing away at his laptop and ignoring the camera.

It's tough to top any episode that involves Drunk Leslie and/or Drunk Ann

The awesomeness of the Ron and Andy scenes made me worry for a moment that April might get Wally Pipped as Ron's assistant.

How much did I love Jeff Rosso. The freaks and geeks themselves were great, but the extended cast were all fantastic too (The Weirs, Rosso, Kolchevski, Millie, etc.).

Nicheal nailed this one on the head.

It probably just boils down to something we've observed with my in-laws. They're both doctors, and hate doctor shows (but love lawyer shows!). Their best friends are lawyers and are exactly the opposite.

Also not that kind of nerd I guess. My wife and I watched this show once and got a similar vibe as Napoleon Dynamite - it's for people who love making fun of nerds, not nerds. It didn't help either that the show loved to abuse the laughtrack.
