The Fly franchise would make a great series retrospective. If only there were a pop culture website that took the time to write features on cool old movies instead of click-baity stuff.

Margot Robbie deserves better.

Thirteenth! I love Rome. I prefer it to the meandering Game of Thrones in terms of HBO swords and sandals series. A really great structure with weaving Pullo and Vorenus in and out of the the historical Titans' stories.

In my opinion, the best internet communities tend to be message boards (even more so back in the day) and they all anonymous. Granted, a lot are self contained to a specific subject and thus everyone is on the same page. On the right subjects, the AV Club comments are pretty good and much for the same reason.

You forgot Leonard Cohen. He's not really an alt comedian but none are more white.

Nope. This is the AV Club.

I do enjoy the AV Club's cognitive dissonance of lamenting "two white dudes" working on a Brave New World adaptation and then in the next newswire extolling the release of a Leonard Cohen album.

Well, he doesn't entirely look human.

Hey, I was going to add "and Edgar Wright" but even I know that would be bridge too far for this crowd.

Now I know where I can go back in time to stop Simon Pegg from becoming A Thing.

"When Hairy Met Sally" made me laugh so I'll say it was worth it for that.

I think Mickey is a riot. I'd be fine just watching 15 minutes of his antics a week. Everyone else's character arc seems to be in limbo. And judging by some of the cast's social media presence they have that Fast and Furious cast-esque "We Are Family" thing going on so I doubt any Donovans will get killed off until

This hour in AV Club's lack of editing. Ann Biderman is unlikely to get any more Emmys for Ray Donovan seeing as how she stepped down as showrunner two seasons ago and is only left with a creator credit.
Yes, I watch Ray Donovan, although I'm not always sure why.

As a guy with a strong aversion to vomiting, it always seemed so downright mean to make that guy sick. To the point I always found it hard to watch. Give him a Roger Moore-esque judo chop or something instead, Ethan Hunt, you cold hearted bastard.

1996 has a special place in my movie loving heart as it was when I first really became cognizant of box office and studio release schedules as well as seeing a bunch of stuff at theatres and the drive-in.
There's no way 1996 week goes by without a Twister article. If so, this promotion should be rendered null and

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Let's not go crazy here. De Palma's commercial output (Scarface, Untouchables) still sizzle and his early thrillers (Dressed to Kill, Blow Out, Body Double) are fascinating exercises in strange pastiches of high brow Hitchcock and low brow sleaze.

TV Critics in 2016. The only group of people more sanctimonious than AV Club commentors.

I've been trying to fill the gaps of Brian De Palma movies that I haven't seen (mosthly his early thrillers) and have really enjoyed all of them.

Hey man, you can't steal my comment about Captain America and just replace that movie's title with "Suicide Squad". That's plagarism!

Considering we may or may not get a Pop Culture Weekend, I watched a short documentary on Netflix recently called "Hitler's Olympics" about the 1936 Games. Thought it was interesting to learn that the torch relay was a Nazi invention. The documentary ends with the line that now that the games have reached the scale
