Actually it probably is. That and Walking Dead. While fans on the internet that like their genre tv a little too much are going to let it happen.

Chaotician….Chaotician, actually.
I wish Miles Teller was frozen in carbonite and dropped down a sarlacc pit. His face and whole persona enrages me.
I can get behind this theory. Spring Breakers was one of the best movies of the past few years. A24 should be celebrated for that alone.
Counterpoint though: Kevin Smith's Tusk.
Throw The Crow in there too as a grittier attempt at the formula. Lots of scenes of bad guys sitting at board room tables in high rises discussing how to deal with the hero.
Because the internet either needs or deserves a Grinch cartoon with of-the-moment celebrity voice cameos, instantly dated pop culture references for the "adults" and no Boris Karloff.
It was a valiant effort that came up a bit short. It was the best of the Batman '89 clones. I've often thought a feature here about that wave of movies would be fun to read.
At least beat the sure bet that was John Carter's $250 million cost. Barnes and Noble couldn't keep those Edgar Rice Burroughs novels from flying off the shelves to kids looking for a post-Harry Potter fix.
Godzilla (2014)
I dig that shot at 1:10. Its pretty evocative.
Rick McCallum's 50 Deadwood-caliber scripts. Never forget.
Thank you my surly friend.
The real walking dead is Chris Hardwick's dignity
A shallow, forgettable movie winning at a shallow, forgettable awards show. Synergy.
TV-related rhetorical question:
Ah, a good old fashiioned AV Club Rape Debate! in those comments only on a smaller scale than more popular shows. Did you enjoy the reviewer calling all the commentors "rape defenders". Good times!
That Superman Lives doc is great (although the narrator seemed a little too pleased with himself gand etting to be a fanboy around Kevin Smith.) Being able to snag a candid interview with TIm Burton was a big coup, though. The best parts are the Nic Cage costume tests where he's at his pretentious best. "His cape…
I'd never say that about Sopranos. I just think everything Chase had to say about life, culture, and masculinity was said in 7 seasons of The Sopranos. Never Fade Away just touched on some of the same themes. in a watered down way.
I'm shocked that no one's pushing for a Blade reboot. (Alleged) desire by people for a black superhero, built in audience due to the originals, EDM music being more popular than in 1998. Its teed up and ready to go. It must be because Wesley has the rights tied up to the character somehow.
How the hell is that Guardians of the Galaxy cartoon still getting reviewed? Don't get it twisted. AV Club loves playing politics with their show recaps.
