Yes or no? The sex scene in the first Terminator is the longest and most uncomfortable in any mainstream movie in the last 35 years. Especially for a movie that's going to attract kids that may unwittingly watch it with their parents making I even not awkward.

I just miss Cathouse. I never met anyone that didn't get a kick out of that show. Isabella Soprano 4 Life.

idk tbh lol

I vastly prefer Maher. Much less smug (which is actually a pretty amazing feat). But I know I'm in the minority in that around here.

The AV Club

How do you know they're all, uh, female? Does, uh, somebody go out into the park and, uh, pull up the dinosaurs' skirts?

Most of you shouldn't quit your day jobs.

Haven't watched the episode yet, but looking in the itunes store to load up on some podcasts, the lovely Ms. Janet Montgomery was just on Nerdist. Shane West was on a couple weeks ago.

That's disappointing. Even though I'm not the target audience at all, I liked the first one. I like movies that examine weird, sleazy subcultures.

Um, is this really newsworthy? AV Club's newsires serving up political red meat to the usual suspects in the comments section seems to be the new trend these days.
And if anyone says "well you clicked on this obvious clickbait" - I just wanted to know if it was Hillbilly Jim of 80's WWF fame!

I'm not really feeling it. The best adjective I can use to describe it is "flat". Some of the jokes and banter just sort of die. Also, I'm not so sure about the music supervision on the show. I don't think many athletes in their early/mid-20s are listening to Busta Rhymes and Big Pun in 2015.

Yeah, he and Ken Cosgrove are joining the cast.

I don't think the dialogue is intended to be realistic. Its written in the hard boiled style of old pulp novels. At least, that's my take on it.

Yeah, I probably should have read your comment before I posted mine about Ellroy.

Ray Velcoro is dead! Long live Ray Velcoro!

I've read a couple James Ellroy novels in the past year and this season of True Detective may be the best interpretation of his stories that's been filmed yet.

Farrel and McAdams had some great chemistry on their car ride. I'd hate to lose Velcoro and get stuck with Kitsch for the majority of the season. People have been criticizing Vaughn but I think Kitsch is the weak link.

They went cheap on 8 of the episodes but Podeswa is solid, he's put in work on pretty much every premium cable (and regular cable) show of note in the last dozen years. He's one of those names you just get used to seeing in the credits.

I'm happy to discover that other people liked the road trip of season 6. I thought that breathed a lot of life back into the show. The whole argument that "it was only good through season 3" seems lazy to me, especially because S3 wasn't that good. As dire as the last two seasons got, I was just happy for a Mary

I'll take the opposite side of that. Those pegged pants as costume design have not aged well.
