Considering that Pizzolatto supposedly wrote the part specifically for Vaughn, I think we're supposed to carry the baggage of his real world perception. A slick talking guy that was able to charm and steal his way to being a power broker in a small city but now that he's at a certain level he's in over his head.

That middle finger to the bouncer was so perfectly acted too.

That was really good! I love the production design of this show. The story and cinematography is so dense that I think a rewatch would be rewarding.

I'll probably get run out of the AV Club but I watched and enjoyed American Sniper. The movie's vision of the bombed out hellscape of the war-torn middle east was one of the better ones that I've seen.

Screeners for the first three episodes went out to reviewers, so I'm expecting it right after the show.

Its interesting that Ecto-Cooler outlasted all other Ghostbusters related merchandising products. I think it was still on store shelves well into the late 90's if not longer.

Worse still is when these alleged fans "support" the trifecta of Yankees/Lakers/Cowboys (with maybe a UNC or Duke thrown in). I still think that Red Sox phase people went through in the mid 00's is the most suspect of all.

I was hoping this headline was a roundabout way of saying Helmscation was delayed indefinitely.

Its destiny was always Weeds (a show I liked) because it has a similar tone. A cartel killing could end an episode only to be back to quirky hijinks in the next. I think OitNB is decidedly a comedy and never got the fuss about how it should be recognized as a drama.

They tried to "ruin" Breaking Bad's farewell? This is why I can't take the most ardent Breaking Bad fans seriously.

I don't see anyway that this doesn't run for 6 or 7 years, for better or worse.

Right, I've listened to all of the commentaries and it was a very collaborative show with Winter seeming to be the guy in charge of drawing up the general game plan for each season and Korder handling everything on a more micro-level.

Its a pile on! I also hate the general "loose" feeling of the controls. I don't know if its due to there being too many frames of animation for the games' own good but I found that corralling Drake is an exercise in itself a lot of the time.

Ugh. I forgot about that. Its a weird combination of him being presented as a rugged action hero with the personality and sense of humor of the average internet fanboy/gamer (that the game is marketed towards, naturally) that's really grating to me. Its hard for me to look past.

Jonathan Franzen. I know he's a divisive guy in some circles but I've liked his novels.

I believe Fox Sports has playoff baseball now. One less check in the ESPN column.
