All time cast is tough. Just trying to figure out whether the people would actually interact well with their different styles is almost impossible.

Yeah, that link (they're both to the same article) is what I remember Kripke mentioning for a spin off. It sounds like that idea isn't what is inspiring this spin off, though.
The CW doesn't have enough content to cancel any show. It's secretly already been given three seasons.
Stephen Amell is real if we BELIEVE he's real! The magical salmon ladder told me so..
I'm around 85% positive there was supposed to be an old west spinoff about Samuel Colt inventing the…er…Colt and being a hunter. When did that idea get abandoned?
Liked for pun on season five finale's name!
Also, his parents just don't understand him.
After what he was able to do visually with Anna Karenina, I would love to see Joe Wright's version of My Fair Lady. I imagine that would be stunning.
No a problem. I'm glad the instructions made sense enough to be useful.
I could see that being disappointing. I think the marketing for the film didn't help in that regard. People know what a sex doll is and, when presented with one as a film "character", there is a certain expectation that comes along with it.

When reading fan comments I always see Jack's tattoo and "Expose" listed but rarely seen Fire + Water listed. I just assumed I was…
Absolutely. Culturally it was pretty good at inclusion for it's time, too. I don't know if I'd seen extended scene or almost entire episodes done in subtitles before that show. I just think about how great of an actor Naveen Andrews is and how great of a character Sayid always was and it makes me happy.
My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done is a crazy film. Herzog really doesn't temper Shannon's performance in the way he probably should have (IMO). I found it very unbelievable that Shannon's character had any successful relationships given that he acted like a suspicious crazy guy for the whole film.
I'm going to try to reply to both comments in this one comment because otherwise the number of comments will grow exponentially and AV Club is doomed. Hopefully, content-wise, it makes sense…
I've only seen his work up to The Village, but I am a fan of Unbreakable, Signs, and The Village. What bothers me about Shyamalan is that he devoted himself to gimmicks pretty quickly after Six Sense (or including Six Sense if you're talking about all the films together as a pattern). The use of colors as a signal,…
I love Lars and the Real Girl. It's such a warm-hearted film that treats it's characters like people rather than psych studies. It reminded me of Harvey (1950) quite a bit.
I'm in the minority but my absolute most hated LOST episode is
Characterization did help LOST tremendously. Even when the stuff happening to the characters made no sense, I was compelled because I cared about (most of) the characters.
Last week I had a fun visit to Boston, so I missed out on a lot of pop culture stuff in favor of historical locations. Not a bad trade off, but I've been trying to speed through some things this week.
I could see Carey Mulligan working the character more as someone who has to be tough for survival, but secretly wants comfort.
